Our competitive team training is designed for athletes who want to compete at a high level. These athletes train with our experienced staff and compete in local, regional, national, and international meets.
Prep-Squad participation is by invitation only. Those with advanced relevant experience may contact: aaronhintz.cda@gmail.com to apply for team membership.
The Prep-Squad is a transitional group between the lessons program and Travel Teams. Divers register for month to month participation and requires a registration fee.
There are 13-Under and 14-Older squads, each comprise divers who are: new to the sport with related experience; recently graduated from lessons; or experienced divers looking for a lesser time commitment. Our Prep-Squad practices 2 hours, one to four times per week, learning and perfecting introductory somersaulting and twisting skills on 1-meter and 3-meter springboards, and Platforms, appropriate for their competitive age and according to World Aquatic requirements.
Prep-Squad divers may also attend a conditioning class contiguous with their practice and are eligible to travel to invitational meets, USA Diving Region and Zone championships and AAU National Diving Championships.
Team participation requires a yearlong commitment with training goals established at the beginning of each season. Movement up through the levels is determined by the coaching staff, but generally follows USA Diving’s championship format – Our National squad members qualify for AAU Nationals and USA Diving National preliminaries, and Our Elite Squad are Junior National Semi-finalists and finalists.
All Team members receive dry-land training in our belt systems over the dry-board or trampoline, water training on 1-meter and 3-meter springboards and platforms, and a structured conditioning program with our strength and conditioning coach.
